Qualities professionalism reflective
05 Units of study All units of study are awarded at Level 7 (Masters) and are worth 12 credits. There are 10 units of study, which facilitate the demonstration of various skills: G1: Qualities of professionalism, reflective practice and lifelong learning Ensuring judgements are made in alignment with current legislation, guidelines and within the graduates professional proficiency. G2: Professional relationships and effective communication Effective communication, using various formats for different audiences, including evaluation of necessary adaptations to the context. G3: Appropriate animal health prophylactic management Assessing, implementing and communicating appropriate prophylactic management, in accordance with the patients species, life stage, condition and environment. G4: Accurate initial patient assessment and evaluation Taking an accurate patient history, using appropriate handling and restraint methods to give a full patient assessment, and interpreting the collated information to reach a differential diagnosis list and plan. G5: Formulate a clinical assessment, treatment and management plan Formulating and communicating an appropriate clinical assessment, treatment and management plan for a range of conditions. G6: Construction and implementation of an appropriate therapeutic plan An understanding of, and compliance with, therapeutic legislative frameworks with accurate evaluation of cases enabling construction, implementation and communication of appropriate therapeutic plans.
